Cooking For Good - Blackhawk Brader Way comes alongside our neighbors who have experienced and fled domestic abuse. Once a month, we prepare a meal in the Blackhawk Brader Way industrial kitchen that will be dropped off and served to guests at Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS). Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) works to make Dane County, WI, a safer, more just, more equitable place for people who have experienced domestic violence, their children, and the people who love them. They offer a wide array of crisis intervention and community education/prevention programs, including a 24-hour Help Line, programming for children from violent homes, legal advocacy, support groups, and emergency safety planning. DAIS is also the only domestic violence shelter in all of Dane County. Interested in learning more or joining the team, fill out this form.
